Review: Star-Kissed Chocolate by Azura Ice

Blurb:

Lyran born, but raised on Earth, Nova Staraway’s highly exotic appearance intimidates men. That is, until Roman Carvanoff, the owner of Four Dimensions Financial Services, arrives to investigate a suspected embezzlement scheme at Nova’s firm. He finds her attractive, but his strange mood swings and unpredictability have her thinking he’s simply a rich playboy.

After Nova’s pet dragon ruins her first night with Roman, she’s certain she’ll never see him again. He further confuses her with his continued on-again, off-again interest. But soon Nova discovers he may have a secret, one that has her second-guessing his intentions and could keep them apart forever.

My Review:

A fun new world, I enjoyed exploring the world of Star-Kissed Chocolate and it’s definitely a world I’d enjoy seeing a whole series set in. Ms. Ice builds a spectacular world where I was enchanted about how much Earth has changed yet stayed the same in the way it is still a melting pot of races and cultures.

Nova Staraway is a manager for Roman Carvanoff’s financial company and when he arrives to investigate missing money their attraction is off the charts. Only Roman is randomly stiff and abrupt with her one minute and kind and caring the next. Nova easily finds herself falling in love with his kind and caring side and I loved him too. I was able to forgive him some of his coldness to her mostly because of how sweet and caring he was with her when they were alone.

The scenes between these two are very hot. They definitely couldn’t keep their hands off each other even with a meddling pet dragon. I adored that there were pet dragons, and loved Nova's relationship with her at times outrageous best friend. The other characters help add to this well-defined world.

I highly recommend this story for fans of Sci-Fi erotic romance. I really think everyone needs to read about Roman and Nova, they’re both amazing characters in a great new world.
