Blurb:

Hockey player Jason Monroe lives a double life—star defenseman and soon-to-be Olympian on the ice and closeted gay man outside the rink. A serious relationship is out of the question, and Jason makes do with anonymous sex in barroom bathrooms, not willing to take the chance on coming out as gay in a decidedly macho sport.

Advisor to the US Olympic hockey team Patrick Parker knows a thing or two about being a professional hockey player who’s not out.  He’s fifteen years older than Jason, and when he senses the sexy younger man is interested, he knows he shouldn’t give in to the attraction. The two men can’t keep their hands off each other, though, and with each heated encounter it gets harder to hide their relationship. Then their world blows up around them, forcing them into the limelight. Will their love survive or be put on ice?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:

Jason “Roney” Monroe had a big problem.

Literally.

His current dilemma came in the form of the woody he’d popped a couple of seconds ago when he’d gotten an eyeful of Patrick Parker as the man washed himself in the shower after the first day of USA Hockey’s pre-Olympics camp. Since it was the first day, all the players and the off-ice staff like Patrick had participated.

The fact that he’d gotten harder than a fence post looking at any man’s junk was bad enough, but one of the advisors? That was all kinds of wrong.

Usually Jason was better able to tamp down on his lust for his fellow man. He’d been doing it for years, after all. Professional sports weren’t exactly welcoming gay athletes with open arms, and he wasn’t keen on getting punched in the shower when some meathead noticed him staring. So he’d tried to condition himself, hoping if he saw enough cock, had his dick sucked enough, and fucked enough tight asses outside the locker room, he’d become desensitized to his teammates’ equipment.

The older man continued to methodically soap himself, and Jason bit his lip, trying desperately to muster up the will to turn away, to not look. Yeah, like asking him not to breathe. It was one of those dirty little secrets no one ever talked about in hockey—that your jockstrap made your cock and balls sweat like a motherfucker and, therefore, itch like crazy. If you didn’t wash thoroughly enough, you’d be feeling it for the rest of the day. That didn’t make Jason feel any better right now, though, as his brain flooded with images of other ways Patrick could be touching himself. And ways he could be touching Patrick. Or Patrick could be touching him.

Fuck. Camp is gonna suck.

When he’d glanced over the four-headed community shower stall and noticed Patrick cupping his balls, he’d barely been able to hold in a groan. The man’s equipment, even flaccid, was impressive. Yeah, and didn’t matter what his equipment looked like because Patrick was straight as a ramrod as far as he knew, so there was no way Jason was getting any closer to said equipment than he was now. Not that he would ever get involved with someone in the hockey world. That was a disaster waiting to happen.

He chuckled to himself as he thought about the word ramrod. Yeah, he had a couple of ideas for where Patrick could shove his ramrod. His ass clenched, and he sighed. Shit, he wasn’t even a bottom, and he was already picturing bending over for the guy. Jason closed his eyes and tried to think about how he needed to make sure the equipment guy sharpened his skates and how his right shoulder pad needed a little fitting tweak. It didn’t work.

Just another day in the salt mines.

My Review:

I’ll admit, I’m in love with Hockey Romance, and M/M hockey romance, yes please! This book was so well written and caused me to be so involved in this story that I was a bit upset when it ended.
I loved Jason Monroe; he was just the right amount of young cocky hockey player I love. That he was so far into the closet that it was hard for him to love Patrick just made me love him more. Watching him grow as character and realize that what people think of you isn’t the only thing that matters made him a character that stuck with me.
The attraction was instant, the sex was hot and the love that bloomed was sweet. I loved Patrick, the fact that he fought his relationship because it might affect Jason’s career, and his patience with Jason just makes him the perfect hero in my book. Patrick has been in the closet publicly so long, he loves Jason and wants to be more open but respects Jason’s need to stay in the closet. The turns that happen in this relationship and the fact that it wasn’t a quick fall in love in a week story, just makes this book beautiful.
Ms. Carr scores a perfect goal with a sweet, sexy love story. This story just warmed my heart, definitely something I will re-read.

I received a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Dutiful soldier Callum Renwick wakes up in the underground laboratory of a mercenary organization. He learns he was the sole survivor of an attack that destroyed his unit, his hometown, and his family. In addition to the loss of his loved ones, he discovers that due to his injuries, half his body has been supplanted by artificial skin and cybernetic parts. Once he has recovered, he is assigned to the care of Ro Bernard, who leads the effort to turn him into a powerful assassin. She is outspoken, yet secretive, and uses unconventional means to mold him into a depraved killer. Mind games and rough sex are in her repertoire of training tactics, and Callum is both infuriated and fascinated by her. As he comes to terms with his grief and his new role, many of his biological body parts fail and must be replaced. Will he adapt to survive in Ro’s world and exact vengeance on the woman who ordered the attack that changed his life?

Her eyebrow flicked up in response to his snide tone. “Don’t sell yourself short. I admit to being curious as to the various ways your…condition makes you different. But I liked what I saw in our initial training sessions. It’s been a while since anyone’s actually impressed me.” The trademark smirk made its appearance again. “And don’t forget, we’ve already been on top of each other.”

Callum didn’t know what to make of her candid statements. Nor could he ignore the memory that flashed through him for a moment of her legs wrapped around his body. “Do you treat everything so casually?” he asked.

“You ask too many questions.” She sighed and shook her head, further mussing the brown spikes of her hair. “It’s just sex, Callum. It doesn’t have to be that complicated. I’ve made it known that I’m attracted to you, and you can do whatever you want with that information. Fucking me doesn’t mean we’re in love, or that I’ll expect anything from you the next day.”

Silence ensued. Ro stood up. “Well, I didn’t mean to take up so much of your time. Enjoy the extra hour or so of sleep. If you need me for anything….” Her sentence went unfinished as she walked towards the door and opened it.

Callum stood up as well, and turned away from her. He remembered her fingers on his skin, and how it had made him feel whole again. The fleeting thrill conflicted with thoughts of how Meyta used to touch him, and sorrow stabbed at him once more. He struggled with the opposing emotions. The desire to cling to what he had left won out. “Ro…wait.”

Her bare feet stopped moving across the floor. Without facing her, he spoke again. “Since waking up here, I haven’t given a lot of thought to…certain things. I don’t even know the extent to which my injuries or the resulting modifications to my body affected….”

The door clicked shut. “Is that all you’re worried about?” she asked.

“It’s high on the list. Don’t you think it’s rather important?” He risked a glance at her.

She was leaning against the closed door, hands tucked behind her back. Her lips curled into a coy smile, and she peered at him through her messy hair. “Only one way to find out,” she said.

Blurb:

It’s been years since Siris and Julian’s boy band broke up and they all went their separate ways. Now they’ve run in to each other in a little redneck bar in the middle of nowhere, coming face to face with the ghosts of their past and the feelings they never quite grew out of.

Siris is here handing out golden tickets to some new reality TV show for the network that owns his record label. Julian is here to meet up with yet another new partner. On the surface it seems like a coincidence… or is it?

Neither man is happy when they realize that The Parliament of Twilight, who once ruled their lives, means for Siris to be Julian’s new partner. Julian worries about what he could do to Siris. Siris just wants to go back to being a mega pop star and has no interest in being a monster hunter. Thrown together against their will (and better judgment) how will these former friends do on their first case?

Warning: This title is intended for readers over the age of 18 as it contains explicit sex scenes and/or situations (including BDSM/Light Bondage) and adult language, and may be considered offensive to some readers.

Excerpt:

Long, thin fingers toyed with the drops of condensation on the beer bottle sitting virtually untouched in front of the bored looking man.  Julian detested beer, but there was a certain protocol when sitting in a back woods bar like the one he found himself in tonight.  You drank the beer and didn't argue about it.  Anything else was a one way trip to an ass-kicking and he wasn't certain of his ability to survive unscathed.  Especially tonight.

Julian was hungry.  Bordering on starved.  He wasn't anywhere near strong enough to hold his own in a bar fight.  Certainly not strong enough to control his hunger and therefore keep anyone who faced him out of danger.

Under normal circumstances, he would never be here.  This was a place where feeding was out of the question, no matter how long it had been since he had a proper meal.  Ironically, it was his hunger that had put him on the path ending here.  He was under orders to meet his new partner.  It had been less than a month since the incident that made his most recent partner demand to be reassigned.  It hadn't taken the Parliament of Twilight long to honor his request and put Julian on temporary inactive duty while they sorted out Richard's claim of abuse.  He had thought the break would be nice.  Some time to gather his thoughts and get himself feeling normal again.

About the Authors:

Dani R.R. Hermit (affectionately called Hermie) and Nevi Star, are the writers who founded Wandering Stars Press.

What do we write, you ask?
Our genre is gay erotica, with a spice of horror, mystery, comedy, drama and sometimes a western or space opera.  We love boys loving boys (in all the wrongest ways).  If you love that too, then maybe we can be friends.  Both Hermie and Nevi have some solo projects in the works, but more on those as they develop.  You can stay up to date on the news from Wandering Stars Press on our blog or Facebook.

Who are we when we’re not writing?
We’re life partners who’ve been together 13 years through all of life’s ups, downs and craziness. Ours has been a long and sometimes arduous road, but it’s only made the journey deeper and more interesting, adding fuel and fire to the stories we can tell.

Nevi is a spirit artist and a shaman. She is a World Walker.  Nevi also does all the covers for WSP's books.  She is currently working on a post-apocalyptic pony novel of her own, a My Little Pony themed tarot deck and a spirit squirrel oracle deck.

Hermie has been studying tarot for 20 years and reading professionally for a small, private clientele for about 13 years. She is also a genius at making sweet treats – homemade candies, cookies, cupcakes. (All gluten free!) She does all the cooking for our little pirate crew (or we would all starve or poison ourselves lol) and loves her neurotic kitten.

What inspires us?
Our first love and inspiration is Japanese Anime & Manga!  We discovered Yaoi and it was all over.  We already had a love affair with slash fan fiction, so taking that to some anime based fics really developed our style into what it is today.  A close second is music.  We create playlists that are character, story-arc or novel specific and play them at top volume while we are driving, writing and sleeping!  We do karaoke in our living room as a means to cleanse our story demons and open up to the next day's work (and because it's a blast to get together with our pirate crew and sing our hearts out!). But we also love TV, movies and books.  You can see which albums, shows, series, etc. are our favorites by following our board on Pinterest.
