The pair unearths shocking truths about what happened that fateful night, but they are playing with fire—someone in town knows what they’ve discovered and will do anything to make sure the secrets stay buried.

This is a return to Krentz's paranormal romantic suspense that I fell in love with. It's a lot of set up to help it be a standalone to new readers, which I am sure and hope means she picked up new readers, but it pulls a seasoned fan out of the story a bit. That's my biggest complaint with the story. Overall I liked Sierra and North, they were great characters that helped push the suspense plot, and I enjoyed them as characters. I highly recommend this book, and I look forward to the next book. It's not as suspenseful of some of her others, but I will continue to read all of Krentz's books.
