Prince Rayn has no intention of allying his country with the militaristic Kjallans. But his political enemies at home may be the greater threat. The princess’s beauty and intelligence catch him off guard, throwing an unexpected and dangerous hurdle in the way of his plans.

An interesting fantasy romance, that has it all politics, drama, lies and betrayal. I absolutely love the intrigue. I haven’t read the previous books but I did enjoy this one.

I really liked Celeste, she’s intelligent, loyal and a fighter, who fights for what she believes in, and I really admired that about her.

Rayn was another great character, also very loyal and the kind of prince any kingdom could ask for because he would fight and do what is best for his kingdom. Together they’re sweet, and the right amount of steamy. I really believed them as a couple.

I found myself hooked into this very fast paced plot, and I definitely recommend this story.

I received a copy in exchange for my honest review. I was not compensated for my review.
