Vicente
The
Santinis Book 4
Release
date May 24
Blurb:
Vince Santini considers himself the last man standing. Being
the only unmarried brother is a badge of honor, until the woman had always been
in his heart returns. Acting on his attraction hadn’t been an option seeing
that she was his best friend’s girl, but now she is single and free for him to
pursue.
Julianna Andrews is a survivor. It took her years to walk
away from her abusive husband, and now all she cares about is building her business.
She doesn’t have time for Vince or the temptation he represents. He is a
reminder of her past. One argument leads to a heated kiss, and the passion that
threatens to consume them both.
Vince knows that Jules might not be ready for happily ever
after with anyone, but he is bound and determined to convince her that he can
give her that—and more. This Santini is happy to be the last man standing—as
long as he is HER man.
My Review:
Vince Santini, he’s the eldest Santini and The Last Santini
Standing. The last to find his permanent lady, to settle down, to fall in love,
the last part isn’t entirely accurate since he’s been in love with Julianna
Andrews since high school. She married his best friend and then survived
through hell. She walked away from her abusive ex, and isn’t ready to settle
down again.
Vicente is the
last of the Santini novellas and if there is one thing I’ve learned, it’s that
the Santini’s are up for any challenge and will move mountains to be with the
lady they love. So when Vince reconnects with Jules again, it’s instant
attraction and a level of stubbornness that only a Marine could have. He sets
out to woo her, love her and convince her to marry him and he does it in a way
that made me wish for my very own Vince. Julianna puts up a good fight and
doesn’t make it easy for him, after all she’s a survivor and woman that Joey
Santini, Vince’s mom, would be proud to call daughter.
This is a sexy, sweet story of love so deep it lasts through
fifteen years of separation and all it takes is a little shove and a determined
Marine to rekindle what was once there. I’m sad to see the Santini’s come to an
end, I can only hope that Ms. Schroeder visits the world again in the future,
there might not be any more sexy Santini’s but there are some other Marines
just waiting to fall hard for their ladies, and I’d love to be there for that.
So read this story, for the romance, the hot Marine in uniform
and for the sense of family induces feelings home and hearth. This is a story
that doesn’t disappoint and leaves feelings of satisfaction, and happiness when
the last page is turned.

Ummm, my favourite branch of the military? I suppose I would have to say the Army, considering I'm married to an ex-soldier. I do love a man in white though.....An Officer and A Gentleman was one of my most loved films, and I loved Melissa's reference to the movie at the end of Vicente's book too. LOL
ReplyDeleteI loved all four Santini boys torn between Vince and Gee as my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI have always had a love for the Military. As my husband and father were both in the Air Force, I might have to go with that. Hmmmm??? However, I have always had a special love for the Navy so that would be my first choice and Air Force my second
