Curvy Ann Griffin has a
secret—she’s in love with her longtime best friend and business partner Joe
Mathews. After suffering through a date from hell—which definitely wasn’t worth
putting on her strangling shapewear for—Ann heads home. How was she supposed to
know the night would end with her throwing herself into his arms and allowing
him to fulfill her every fantasy?
What’s a guy to do when the
woman he loves kisses him senseless? Go with it, that’s what. For more than a
decade, Joe has fought back his needs for the voluptuous beauty. In his mind,
the only thing missing in their relationship was the ability to explore every
inch of her luscious body.
Although sleeping with Ann
could destroy everything they have, Joe won’t allow that to happen. He knows
they’re made for each other. Now he only needs to convince her.

Happy 2014!
I wonder how long it’s going to
take me to stop writing 2013 on everything. Probably until December, like it
did for me to stop writing 2012.
Did you all have a great Holiday season? I for
one eat so much that my fat jeans beg for mercy when I try to button them and I
can’t buy new fat jeans because my debit and credit cards weep a little when I
swipe them now that Christmas is over.
For Christmas, my husband
continued my contract with my personal trainer. I don’t know if I should be
offended or not. Is he trying to tell me something? Anyway, my trainer and I
have been working together for a few months now and we get along okay. He tortures
me and I call him really bad names. It works for us. J
I wish I could tell you I got
the idea for In Bed with Mr. Perfect,
from my trainer, he is kind of cute and since Best friends Ann and Joe co own a
gym, and Joe is a personal trainer and all that, but I can’t. The idea For In Bed with Mr. Perfect came to me one
day when I was making lasagna (which My trainer has now boycotted, the ass
hole), and brainstorming with my CP on the phone.
I was elbows deep in ricotta cheese and hot
noodles when I said. “What if I write a story about two long time friends who
are secretly in LOVE with each other. However, Joe only dates model types and
Ann is a shapewear wearing curvy girl. My CP sighed and said “That could work,
add it to your list.”
And I said “Let me think about
it a little.”
Weeks went by and Ann and Joe
kept nagging at me, so I sat down and started writing and re-writing and
re-writing again. I had to flush out the ins and outs.
As a writer, I’m asked all the
time how I come up with my story ideas. This question is always the hardest for
me to answer. I end up saying something like. Oh, They just pop into my head.
Don’t I wish! Could you imagine me sitting, minding my own business, and the story fairy just
drops a best seller in my lap? If that happened, I would be sitting on the
beach in front of my beachside estate sipping something sparkly from France
while I write this post, not sitting at my pay the bills job during a break,
trying to type as fast as I can. When I get home, I have a house to clean and a
family that demands my time.
The facts are hundreds of story
ideas pop in and out of my head. It’s a scary place up there, but only a few
make it to paper. How do they make the cut, you might ask. Well, let me tell
you. I write what I would like to read.
I like contemporary romance
with a hint of sweetness and lots of sex. I like when books have just enough
real life in them to make them believable and just enough fairytale for me to
go “awwww.” I wish that would happen to me.
So, even though a zombie-werewolf-vampire-shape
shifter-cop turned nurse that is a vegetarian pops in my head, that story may
have to rattle around in my brain a little longer.
When In Bed with Mr. Perfect, a
story about two best friends who in a weak moment decide to have sex, popped in
my head I knew Ann and Joe were keepers. This story would not leave me alone.
Let me tell you, Ann was not easy to convince that she and Joe should be
together forever.
It took a lot of my tears and
Joe’s heartache to convince her she could have the man she has always loved.
I hope you take the time to
pick up In Bed with Mr. Perfect and I hope you love it as much as I do.
