Wolf Next Door by Heather Long

When Claire Webster was five years old Tyler Buckley, the wolf next door, told her he was her mate and then ordered her not to play with one of her friends. Butting heads throughout their childhood, her choice to leave Willow Bend tore them apart. Eight years later, she sends a request to the new Alpha—she wants to come home, and when he grants it, she’s both relieved and terrified. The first person she runs into is the last one who ever wants to see her again.

Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde

Marchessa de la Luna’s duty is to the marriage arranged to the enigmatic and powerful, but aging Alpha Antony Rommulus. Her passion is for the rogue Cassius who can give her nothing except pleasure. Marchessa must choose if it will be duty or desire that will decide her fate and that of her pack.

Eternal by Rebecca Royce

Dougal Owens has served on the front line of The Dragon Wars for sixteen years. The last thing this Alpha werewolf expects is his mate to drop in with a plan to end the war. Together, they will battle to save the Wolves or die trying.

Hell’s Playground by Cara Carnes

The Quadrant Alpha once thought Mira’s death was the worst thing that could have happened. Learning she lives, and worse, survived torture and purgatory gives Adrik a chance to save Redemption and his mate.

Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson

Dara is Alpha and used to taking control of the situation when it goes swirly. A rogue on her turf means a fight, and she’s ready to take him on. A woman with no plans to be tamed and a rogue wolf with no plans to stick around shouldn’t have more than a brief meeting to establish boundaries and be done. However, when Dara meets Lynwood, the call to mate might drown out logic altogether.

This is a great introduction to these talented paranormal authors, I highly recommend every single one of these stories!

Wolf Next Door by Heather Long: Fantastic addition to the world of Willow Bend, I was already in love with the world and it’s premise, so I happily dived into this novella. It was a great story about second chances, and learning to love again. Tyler and Claire were meant to be, so seeing them get to know each other again, was great. It could easily be read by new readers and I would think that Ms. Long’s strong writing skills would hook a new reader.

Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde: Damn, seriously damn. Ms. DeWylde, is a go to favorite of mine even more so now. She writes these amazingly real characters, and yes I know Marchessa is a wolf shifter and how can that be real, but her thoughts her actions, all scream real to me. She’s the kind of kick ass best friend I would love to have, because while she tell you what you might not want to hear, she’ll also gut anyone who f***s with you. Thrown in a very sexy Antony and well, Ms. DeWylde needs to hurry up and write more in this series, a great introduction into what is sure to be a new favorite series of mine.

Eternal by Rebecca Royce: Dragons, wolves, war, and some conspiracy thrown in, with a love story at the core, that survives against all odds. This isn’t a light and fluffy romance. It’s gritty and they’re at war so it’s not a lighthearted romance, but Ms. Royce handles and makes the world a place I want more of. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this story while reading, but I will definitely recommend this series to other readers.

Hell’s Playground by Cara Carnes: Dragons and wolves, and a war with succubi and humans who hate anyone with paranormal blood, and it’s a recipe for a fantastic series. I finished this book, and immediately went looking for more in the series, so it’s a fantastic start to a new series, and I will be anxiously awaiting more. Adrik and Mira have both been through so much, and they’re meant for each other, and they struggled to get their happily ever after. Mira has been through a lot, and I enjoyed the surprises that Ms. Carnes through into the series, and I cannot wait to see who’s book is next and what happens with the war.

Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson: A female Alpha, sign me up. It’s a nice change, and I really loved that Ms. Nelson has no problem taking the status quo and mixing it up. Dara could be a very Alpha at times, and a bit snappy with Lynwood but she isn’t sure that she can trust his submissiveness. Then throw in a unique conflict and villain, and I will definitely be trying out more of her Odd series, since some great secondary characters almost stole the show. I definitely recommend this one.

Pick this one up, it’s a fantastic anthology and full of all very enjoyable series, and I will be following all of these authors and anxiously awaiting more.

Hungry Like the Wolf by Paige Tyler - Review @Sourcebooks #shifters @PaigeTyler #4stars #review

They’re tight
They’re on target
They’re as alpha as men can get

The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret…they’re a pack of wolf shifters.

The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive—and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn’t sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something…and she’s determined to find out what.

Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She’s smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she’s getting dangerously close to the truth—and perilously close to his heart...

Something is just not right about the Dallas SWAT team and Mackenzie “Mac” Stone is determined to break the story on it. Gage Dixon is definitely of the mind keep your friend’s close and enemies closer, and invites Mac to work close with them so he can control what information he feeds her.

The only problem, he’s pretty sure she’s THE ONE, even if he thinks the idea of a mysterious ONE is a total myth. He can’t deny their attraction, and the way it’s mutual made me smile. Neither really wants to act on it, but it’s there, and when they do give in, it’s pretty hot.

I have to give Ms. Tyler props, she created a new and sexy way to present both wolf shifters and police officers, I want my own big SWAT man. I mean who wouldn’t the way she describes them has me anxiously waiting the rest of them finding their own ONEs.

The Trouble with Texas Cowboys by Carolyn Brown - Review @Sourcebooks

When Sawyer O'Donnell takes a ranch job on a whim, he lands smack dab in the middle of a Texas-sized feud! The Gallaghers and the Brennans are at each other's throats to woo the red-headed spitfire, Jill Cleary, and stake a claim for the Fiddle Creek Ranch.

Jill makes Sawyer's blood boil. They argue, they banter, but Sawyer soon goes from being driven crazy to crazy in love. Damned if he knows how that happened. But now that it has, how does he compete with two men that can give this cowgirl a lifestyle beyond her wildest dreams?

A feud, a small town, and a bit of meddling by some elderly aunts and a great story is born in Burnt Boot, Texas. I really loved this addition to the series, it has two people that bind together to survive the plotting of the two feuding families and find themselves falling a bit in love.

There were some serious hijinks in the series, and the way Sawyer and Jill handle them was very admirable. I really enjoyed watching them come to rely on each other more and more. The scenes and chemistry with these two were very sexy and I enjoyed every minute it.

I definitely recommend this and the rest of the series, Ms. Brown is a queen at writing small town romance with humor and hot chemistry.
